After having served with the Mercian Regiment and two tours of Afghanistan I had the opportunity to take over an established window cleaning round on the Durley Estate in Prenton and the Woodchurch Estate. Since then this has now progressed from the traditional ladder, soap and squeegee method of cleaning to the water fed pole window cleaning system, I am now operating out of two vans and this has enabled me to employ two more team members. Water Fed Pole Window Cleaning System
The water fed pole method of cleaning is carried out from ground level by using extendable poles with soft brushes attached up to a height of 50 feet. This reduces the requirement for ladders, therefore reducing the risk of damage or injury to property or people. The pure water is pumped to the top of the pole from the tank and system which is in the van through the soft brush head. The glass and all surrounding extrusions are thoroughly cleaned and rinsed off. The glass dries off naturally and there is no requirement to use a squeegee. The results are sparkling and streak free windows. This method of cleaning does not use harsh chemicals and therefore is more environmentally friendly. The use of 100% pure water rather than chemicals does not allow a build up of dirt on the residue left behind from conventional window cleaning processes, therefore reducing the frequency of cleaning. The cleaning process is much quicker and more cost effective to the customer. The water fed pole system provides more privacy and promotes a feeling of security for the customer.
The system enables hard to reach windows to be cleaned that are difficult or impossible to reach with the conventional ladder cleaning method, for example;
